Rodney Recor
Mr. Recor received his degree summa cum laude from Ohio University where he studied Computer Science, Motion Picture Scholarship, and Theater. He began a "second career" in the multi-media computing field after twenty-one years in the Hollywood film and television industry. While in Hollywood, Rodney produced and directed a variety of documentary films and TV shows for such clients as the US Air Force, the University of Pennsylvania, and the three major television networks. He spent six years as Film Archivist and Executive Assistant in Charge of Special Productions at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and four years as Manager of the Los Angeles International Film Exposition.
Rodney has extensive computing experience in his capacity of expert level web developer. His previous work in videotape editing and production duties included twelve years on the Annual Academy Awards Presentations (the "Oscars") and two seasons producing episodes of the popular TV series, "That's Hollywood!" He was the General Manager of Midtown Video in Los Angeles, a professional computerized video production services company serving the Hollywood film and television industry. Committed to the digital future of education and entertainment, he has served as the Director of Online Services for Horizons Media, Inc. in Chapel Hill, North Carolina following 3 years as Network Administrator for New Course Education, Inc, and a year as a PC Server Systems specialist at IBM in Research Triangle Park.
